The
Area
Washingpool Farm is an ideal base for exploring the Westcountry.
Situated on the outskirts of Bridport, the town centre is within
walking distance yet the farm is surrounded by countryside.
The famous World Heritage Site Jurassic Coast is 2 miles
from the
farm with the beach at West Bay. Lyme Regis and Weymouth
are a
half
hours drive in each direction with numerous buses running from Bridport
daily.
There
are many walks in the area as well as on the farm itself. The
National Cycle Network passes nearby and there are plenty of
quiet places to explore.
The area boasts some wonderful pubs and restaurants to suit all
budgets, ages and tastes - we would be pleased to recommend places.
Further afield are day trips to attractions such as The Eden
Project in Cornwall, London by train from Crewkerne or
Dorchester, Dartmoor and the Cathedral city of Exeter.
The Channel Islands are reachable from the port of Weymouth.
